Small Win to Celebrate

Finn woke me up this morning instead of me doing so for him. He has been waking up feeling lousy and would whine non stop during school days..he would not stop until I started scolding him. Last night I prep him and put him to bed earlier than keith (rather than waiting for Keith to pack his bags). I managed to pat him and he slept at 10.15pm (not early but it seems enough). Right before he sleeps, I asked him to promise not to whine when he wakes up and he did well. He woke me up instead. He came to me and said, mommy….i want to wake up already….

Discipline Mind

Momentum starts with discipline. Set the right tone for the day by instilling mind with discipline. Discipline plays a crucial role to get things started because we don’t do what we should do every day. Our emotions tend to be bigger than our mind most of the time. At this point, its easy to just say “it’s ok, I will do it tomorrow”. What if tomorrow never comes?

Nervous Vs Excited

Last week, our eldest participated in the Yamaha Piano Festival for the very first time. First thing in the morning he expressed to me that "mommy, I am nervous" Mommy's advice throughout the day: Boy, start now by switching the thought of "I am nervous" to "I am excited". Thoughts in our brain is contolled by us. If we tell ourself that we are nervous, we will. If we tell ourself that we are excited, we will be. Cos the brain depends on what we feed ourself. Just continue to replace I am nervous with I am excited. He did his best and did well 😍 Take control of what our brain is saying at the moment, so that we can focus on performing.

Random Monday Morning Thoughts

Monday is here. This is the 2 nd week of Nov. I wanted to to get things better and more organized bit by bit. I also want to get rid of dust in the room with stay and work. It’s a daily battle where dust returns everyday and wiping needs to happen everyday. I am currently spending the morning with the boys learning. Finn is practicing his numbers writing while Keith is learning his 3 languages new vocabulary. After this, Finn will need to go shower and mommy will start preparing for lunch..

2 Years without Posting

2 years have passed so quickly and out of a sudden, I've decided to pay this blog a visit. Reading all the old post help to refresh good memories and great events which happened past years. My last posting was a short one showing the ultrasound scan of our 1st baby at 38weeks + and now...I am 27 weeks pregnant with my second baby. Can you see how time flies? Here is the 2nd baby's ultrasound scan at 26 weeks.

Baby is 38 weeks 2days

We had a false alarm today...small gush of water (was not sure if that was considered water bag broke). We went to our OB-GYN to check up just to be sure. Waited for 2 hours plus and when we see the doc and described what happened, the answer given was 'No, not yet' :) you can go home and wait.... This is our little one at 38 weeks 2 days.....

Rare Long Weekend 08-08-2013 to 11-08-2013

Since I last quit my full time employment in corporate world, I have very limited time available to enjoy the real weekend. Raya falls on Thursday and Friday giving almost everyone a longer break from Thurs-Sun. We decided to close our learning centre and have a good break as well. With that we drove to KL for the weekend. It was a pretty good choice for us as the crowd were moving to either south or north (away frm Central) and wee! we are heading the opposite direction. This trip is all about free & easy and most importantly is to break away from daily routines that is eating us up.

Mind All Over!

If there is one thing that I always find challenging, that will be being 'organised'. Yes, its about being organised in all aspects. 1. Time 2. Things we have 3. Workload Ok. One thing at a time!

Slow and Simple Monday

A bowl of Fried Noodles with Mushroom, Carrot, Cabbage and Chicken Past weeks have been really busy and hectic as the international school children are now having their long summer break. I have not been cooking due to the tight schedule. Finally, today (Monday = Off Day), I managed to do some simple cooking. Went for late morning walk at Botanical Garden with Karen and followed with lunch. We then went for grocery shopping at Tesco but my energy level could not sustain long enough. I rushed to finish the shopping and head home. Took a power nap and then find some quiet time for myself to regain/charge my drained energy. Not wanting to leave the house for the rest of the day anymore. Hence, decided to cook a simple meal from whatever ingredients I can find at home. And ya, managed to cook something out of it. This bowl of noodle is special because I have added Chinese Red Wine into it as well....   :) Another hectic and packed week waiting for me! Good night!

Tsunami Hits Japan 11-Mar-2011

As I came in to the office in the afternoon, my cousin was telling me a massive earthquake and tsunami has just hit Japan. First and foremost, I started to think anyone I know in Japan and yes. I login to Facebook to check if there is any updates and to find out more in the news. Thank God, she is fine and took further look at the videos posted in YouTube. It was massive and no one could ever imagine how much more damage can it be. Click Here for more details. Please pray for the victims in Japan and all the family members affected.

What is Life?

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it. Life is beauty, admire it. Life is bliss, taste it. Life is a dream, realise it. Life is a challenge, meet it. Life is a duty, complete it. Life is a game, play it. Life is a promise, fulfill it. Life is sorrow, overcome it. Life is a song, sing it. Life is a struggle, accept it. Life is a tragedy, confront it. Life is an adventure, dare it. Life is luck, make it. Life is too precious, do not destroy it. Life is life, fight for it. --Mother Teresa

Surprise Mini - Solo Marathon

Good Morning Everyone! Finally after nearly 2 weeks of stomach upset (unknown cause; possible gastric, stomach flu or even mild food poisoning) followed with mild fever and disturbed sleeps almost every night, I feel so much refreshed and energized today! Last night, my Molly mama's maid help me to 'Gua Sha' (chinese traditional massage - scrapping of back to release body heat. As usual, my back is 'bruised' now because after the massage, the skin will turn red as if you are having a severe rash..but the effect is fantastic! I did something pretty surprise to myself today. I woke up from bed at 3.30am and feel extremely tired but just could not get back to sleep. Decided to do some reading and the effect was opposite from usual. I become more alert! Okie, then I move on to booting up my laptop and start working on some business proposals..time flies, its 6am! Without much hesitation, I changed my attire and put on my running shoes, grab my running partner (my pinky...
