1st Week of 2009!

I am currently on board MH727 - heading to Jakarta (34,000 feet above sea level, at the speed of 800km/h)

You must have wondered, how can I possibly have internet connection in the air? Hehe...I am writing this in my Notepad. By the time you are reading this, I have checked into the hotel and hooked on to the broadband internet access in the hotel to get this entry posted.

First week of the year has been fantastic. I started my Sunday with 1 hour non-stop running at Kelana Jaya Lake Garden at 8.30am with a few gym buddies (it covers approximately >6km). Part of the reason for us doing this is because we have registered for 20km Marathon (organised by Great Eastern) on 18 Jan 09. {10 days from now}

Upon completing the run, we rewarded ourself with nice Malaysian breakfast - Nasi Lemak at Village Park, Uptown (They are really well known of the Nasi Lemak and seriously, it is DeLiciOus!!)

We took some rest after that and continue with another set of workout at the gym - RPM!!! @ Fitness First, The Curve. We had another crazy calories burning session. Hahaha!

With the heavy and sinful breakfast we had, we decided to go for something more refreshing - Noodle Soup (Vietnamese) -- Errr...can't remember how to spell the restaurant's name. :P We played "TABOO" after out lunch at the restaurant until evening...Planned to go for a movie but could not find any nice movie at the right timing...Hence, we asked ourself, "WHAT CAN WE DO WITH RM10?" Blink blink! We thought of Bowling!! And there we go! We went to One Utama and had 1 Game!

It was still early to call it a day at that time. As you may know, bowling ally and GSC cinema is just next to each other at One Utama. So, we took a look at the movie schedules again and went for a movie - "Diary of the Dead". Honestly speaking, it wasn't a pleasant movie to end the day with. The quality of the movie was horrible! If you have watched "Cloverfield/Quarantine" last year, you will know what I mean. They falls under the same poor category. So, please don't waste your money! I went home with headache :S

Back to work in office on Monday!!! and Tuesday and Wednesday ...and on and on....nothing exciting but just WORK WORK WORK! Afterall, it is still a fulfilling week because rushing for work completion and travelling from one city to another in a week can be tiring yet exciting!

WHAT TO DO IF STOPPED BY MALAYSIAN POLICE

I do not know how true is the story but knowing is better than not knowing at times..This can be a very useful information although it may be sometime ago kind of story... The next time you are stopped by persons who claimed they are plainclothes police, you are under no obligation to answer their questions or follow their orders, lawyers told Malaysiakini today. "Policeman who is not wearing his uniform does not have the authority to stop anyone," lawyer and human rights activist Sivarasa Rasiah said. Sivarasa was commenting on the alleged gang-rape of an 18-year-old Uni student by four men claiming to be police officers on New Year's Eve. The girl said that her car was stopped in Taman Tun Dr Ismail in Kuala Lumpur and were asked by the men to open the car bonnet. She was then told that she had committed an offence and ordered to follow the men to a police station. The girl was driven in her car along the North-South expressway to the Tapah-Cameron Highlands road before...

People Make Mistakes

Sounds familiar? This is very common and yes, its the truth! "People Do Make Mistakes". One important thing we need to constantly remember is..no one on earth is 'perfect'. Neither should we expect one nor try to be one. We will never find a perfect end to it, instead we will end up just living in the IDEAL world of thoughts throughout our lives. I am touching on this in this post due to many factors which I personally experience it through different circumstances. 1. If you do not accept the fact that "People Make Mistakes", you may easily set unrealistic expectations. In no time, you will find that you get upset or frustrated when things do not workout the way you may have highly expected on. 2. Worst case would be when you do not realise that you have fallen into "Perfectionist" trap, your frustration will lead to "No Confidence", and subsequently to "Self Guilt"/"Self Pity" and then....lastly "Depression"...

Weekend within Klang Valley

It has been many many many weeks since I last spent my weekend here without traveling to anywhere out of Klang Valley..and yet, weekend was interesting! Saturday - Started my morning workout with Mary at gym by attending Kat's Fitball Core class. One very crucial lesson learnt in the class was - in order to stay balanced with the ball, u shall stay focus! This does not apply only in the class, but we should apply to our daily life as well. Agree with me? Headed to church for Sabbath Service after lunch. The sermon by Pr Daniel was about Lead a much More Beautiful Life :) Guess the message just came to me at the right time. Another reminder to myself too! At night - haha, another interesting event. Went for SHAPE & MEN'S HEALTH MAGAZINE's Night Marathon 5km. The timing wasn't really good as I took 40mins to complete 5km..hmmm..need more training! Sunday! Is the best day besides Saturday because, you don't have to work! Breakfast with Fern after such a long time (...
