It Is All In Your Mind

For the past few weeks, I have been spending quite some time with my closed elderly people in the family. This moments are the total opposite from festive celebrations such as New Year Countdowns, Chinese New Year gatherings etc. Instead, I meet with a lot of them with different old age health problems including my dad.

I meet cancer patients, I meet diabetic patient which is in severe condition, and
mentally stressed individuals as well. Those are just a few examples. Going into too much of these details will make a person feel sad and even tear if u meet them face to face. It all started when a person start to lose his/her health. Then, they might slowly lost the ability to do certain things in life which they can normally do. And eventually, they need to depend on others. This has slowly resulted to tendency of having negative thoughts which then lead to stress and the depression if no moral support is given. Well, this is will then be the beginning for people to start questioning

'WHY DO WE LIVE?'

Why am I like this?

What is the purpose of living?

This is so obvious when I get to see an uncle who used to be a happy person who has now turned into a person who refused to take medication after he was diagnosed with cancer. For him, there is no meaning in life anymore and he just give up the hope to live. It add on so much stress to his loved ones....Isn't this sad?

So, what MIND has to do with all these? Meeting these people, talking and listening to them taught me a lot about life and how not to end up in such state of mind.

1. We need to accept the fact that everyone of us will grow old and leave this world one day. It is just that the journey to old age and death is different for every individual.

2. We do not need to question life or even GOD. If we can accept the fact above, we will not even question why. Instead we will face it with acceptance and will find ways to overcome it as long as we are still living.

3. We shall not fear death. If you have faith in God, death shall not be feared as we know there is room for us with God after death.

5. Do not give up life no matter what happens. Choose to fight till the end.

5. Treasure the moments as we are living. Life is short and we will never know when we will be taken away. You may be a person with good health but can u guarantee that you will wake up tomorrow?

Here is the 2nd baby's ultrasound scan at 26 weeks.

Small Win to Celebrate

Finn woke me up this morning instead of me doing so for him. He has been waking up feeling lousy and would whine non stop during school days..he would not stop until I started scolding him. Last night I prep him and put him to bed earlier than keith (rather than waiting for Keith to pack his bags). I managed to pat him and he slept at 10.15pm (not early but it seems enough). Right before he sleeps, I asked him to promise not to whine when he wakes up and he did well. He woke me up instead. He came to me and said, mommy….i want to wake up already….
