Chinese New Year 2013

A brand new year has arrived again for the Chinese. I am glad to be back home and is getting one week break from work. This precious time is used to spend with our precious family members and friends especially those we have not met for almost a year. Some, we have last met during previous CNY..its great to be able to catch up and chat with them. We also welcomed quite a number of Dragon babies. Most of them were born just weeks a part....

Small Win to Celebrate

Finn woke me up this morning instead of me doing so for him. He has been waking up feeling lousy and would whine non stop during school days..he would not stop until I started scolding him. Last night I prep him and put him to bed earlier than keith (rather than waiting for Keith to pack his bags). I managed to pat him and he slept at 10.15pm (not early but it seems enough). Right before he sleeps, I asked him to promise not to whine when he wakes up and he did well. He woke me up instead. He came to me and said, mommy….i want to wake up already….

Chinese New Year Reunion !

Chinese New Year is another 5 days away! Yea!!! I can't wait to be home. Look at the photos above. ALL the dishes were cook by mum with all her heart. Really misses her cooking! I am coming back very very soon mum! hehee...I know you are reading this. I will help you to peel the boiled bird's egg for the soup and also wrap the wan tan for the soup as well. Hahaha..the yearly pre-reunion task that I will have to do. This is my eldest brother and his family. Little darren was so little 2 years back! He can run and shout now!!! And here is my 2nd brother and his family. Waiting to see them especially Nic Boy.. I have not seen him for months!!!! Wondering how tall is he now...

I Nearly Lost All of Them

Well, if my mum is reading this..i can visualise her starting to nag about my carelessness...yes mum..I know...I am indeed careless.. I left my sports shoe at gym's locker this morning...Only realise it when i reach office (half hour after I left gym)..First thing first in the office, I searched for IOI Fitness First number..got it and called... Hello...Hmm I left my shoe at locker number XXX,..can you check? Just a while ago.. The front desk replied..Oh ..okie can I have your name and contact number...blah blah blah..I gave and he promised to call me back... After more than an hour, no one called. So, in desperation to know if my shoe is still there..I called back.Hmm i called just now about my shoe..the same person answered..Oh Oh..lena rite? We checked and there is none...i was like HUH???!!!! cannot be just a while ago only....he said..yes, miss..we checked other lockers also ..cant find any....SILENCE>SAD>>>> He acknowledge the silence by saying...okok..let me
